Kay is a graduate of UC Davis in political science (very passionate about politics and social justice) and she fell into the world of finance where she worked in tall buildings. Kay isn’t a tall building type. She left the big city to come back to her native Napa Valley. She now lives and works on the ground floor.
Soon after grounding herself in Yountville, she adopted Sweetie, a nervous, stressed out but affectionate dog who was literally rescued just-in-time from an overseas butcher shop. Kay discovered that some of the holistic Tellington Touch methods were effective for comforting Sweetie. With her curiosity piqued, she began learning about pet massage.
Kay went on to study massage at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and acupressure at Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. Kay is a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and American Canine Sports Medicine Association (ACSMA). Kay is a Level III Reiki practitioner. And Sweetie is well adjusted and happy pup.
When she’s not walking her own dogs around Yountville, or taking them to the Napa’s Alston Park, Kay can regularly be found working in her garden or creating fused glass art from recycled bottles:www.yountstreetglass.com).
